Job Description Join our dynamic and growing global company as a Compensation Manager!
At Equinox, our People & Culture team is committed to attracting, motivating, and retaining top talent. We are seeking a highly motivated individual who is analytical and has a curiosity to create, automate and enhance our compensation practices to contributing to our organizational success.
Role Overview As a Compensation Manager, you will play a pivotal role in managing compensation programs for both corporate and field employees. Reporting to the Director of Global Compensation, you will be responsible for ensuring that our compensation practices are market-aligned, fiscally responsible, and internally equitable. This role will play a key part in scaling our compensation practice as our organization continues to grow and will involve collaborating with various departments to streamline processes, develop guidelines, and support the execution against key pillars of our Win with Talent strategy.
Key Responsibilities - Develop, implement, and administer compensation programs, practices, and procedures
- Manage the planning and execution of annual review cycle - merit, promotion, corporate bonus accrual and payout calculation, system management, manager training and communication
- Oversee the administration and governance of incentive compensation processes, including documentation, tracking, and reporting
- Conduct job evaluations, internal equity analysis, data modeling, and reporting to support corporate and field compensation programs
- Serve as a key resource for compensation data requests and support the new hire offer approval process; advise People & Culture Business Partners on compensation decisions and policy interpretation
- Manage compensation survey data submission; conduct ad hoc market research as needed
- Support development of internal salary structures and guidelines, ensuring internal equity and market competitiveness
- Assist with short- and long-term incentive programs
- Manage recurring equity processes, including monthly equity approvals and terminations and serve as the first point of contact for equity questions from current and former employees
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to create/modify, evaluate, and implement compensation policies and procedures
- Keep abreast of compensation trends and developments in compensation practices and regulations; proactively recommend enhancement or adjustment as needed; ensure compliance with local, state, and federal wage laws
- Support the Director with change management efforts associated with new compensation program initiatives and process improvements
- Manage a Compensation Analyst, providing supervision, guidance, and development support
Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in human resources, finance, accounting, or equivalent experience
- Minimum 5 years of experience with at least 2 years managing annual compensation cycle, preferably at a manager level; minimum 1-year supervisory experience
- Experience supporting LTI and equity plans is a plus
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite with advanced Excel skills required; experience with VBA or Macro is a plus
- Ability to reconcile large quantities of data, ability to apply analytics to recommend solutions and drive informed decision making
- Experience with HRIS systems; working knowledge of UKG and Shareworks is a plus
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Ability to apply sound judgment and discretion working with highly confidential and sensitive information
- Excellent organizational and project management skills with a strong attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple, high priority tasks and projects simultaneously and adjust to shifting priorities, while meeting deadlines
- Excellent verbal, written communication and presentation skills required

Pay transparency: Salary ranges from $130,000 to $140,000
